Haven't played any of the FF games because I'm not super into turned based rpgs, with some exceptions that include action prompts. Debating picking this up. Never played it back in the day, wondering what the completion time is if I just go through the game without dumping time into grindy sidequests. Mainly concerned with X but X2 estimates are also welcome.

I'm pretty late into the game (Calm Lands) and I'm short of Lvl 1 Keyspheres. Tried farming Sandworms but they haven't dropped any yet. Kimahris been sitting on 30 Levels since I'm missing the Lvl 1 Sphere to progress.
