i couldnt say without installing that spyware special K ♥♥♥♥, which im not about to do. dosent matter either way, the UnX mod is long since abandoned and the only way youre gonna get it to work is by using a windows build from like 6-10 years ago, ancient drivers that wont work with most modern cards, etc. it was poorly written in the first place, and since its not been updated to work with modern drivers, it just dosent. if you wanna play the game, DONT install UnX, like i said it will cause your game to crash constantly. youll be lucky if you get to the first autosave point before it crashes.

And for crashing - yeah, it is known that it causes some problems for some people in X-2. But in general it helps with stability of X.

X-2 crashes for some people, regardless of whether they're using UnX or not.

I have not seen good data on whether UnX makes crashes better or worse, but I'm open to it. However, even without UnX, X-2 will still occasionally crash for some people - we do not yet know why, exactly, that happens; or why it happens for some people, but doesn't happen for other people.

UnX, or more accurately special K, is constantly sending data about you to keldien. its one of the main reasons his app actually got taken off of steam, that and the whole "i can permanently ban any steam user i dont like from booting any game using special K" thing. the last update for the UnX mod was years ago, january 2018 to be exact. x-2 does indeed occasionally crash no matter what. the difference is that NOW, UnX introduces so many bugs that it WILL crash constantly.getting a half hour of game time in between crashes is a rarity, unlike native where youll usually go multiple play sessions between crashes.

I've been looking into the X-2 crash issues for years, collecting testimonials from dozens of users and running all sorts of tests. I have never been able to replicate or demonstrate any consistent behavior like this.

In fact, the only direct access to empirical data I have is my own running of X-2, and on three different systems (2 laptops and 1 PC) ever since it first released, X-2 has never shown this random crash behavior for me. Whether I use UnX or not.

And the sporadic nature of reports of crashes - while not in itself data - makes me at least suspect that these crashes may not be nearly as common as people make them out to be.

I'd really like to get to the bottom of this, and specific information and data could help. So if you have any ACTUAL, CONCRETE information - please, I'd really love to have it.

But if all you have is accusations and statements without evidentiary backing, then that's kind of... whatever, really.

you want proof? load up the special K program and monitor your web traffic. stop acting like this is some magical thing that needs in depth code knowledge for son, load up a traffic monitor and look for yourself. lazy slob, were done here. gonna go ahead and block you now since youre over here shilling for one of the shadiest people to force themselves on the PC modding scene ever.
