Got a new mic and rainbow 6 siege is not outputing the sounds the mic is picking up
I have a blue yeti microphone and it works fine but for some reason rainbow 6 siege does not pick up any audio, I tried fiddling around with the sensitivity settings and restarting r6 and checking my ubisoft connect privacy and yes i put the yeti blue mic as the input device and it will not pick any audio up from it while i am in game or in lobby. I have checked that it can access my microphone and it can so i am stumped.

Have you tried the solution from reddit given by wololoMeister?

https://www.reddit.com/r/blueyeti/comments/quu7xg/yeti_detected_but_not_picking_up_audio/

"Go to micrphone settings Settings > Privacy > Microphone > Allow microphone access on this device

SCROLL DOWN

"Let desktop apps access microphone" ENABLE rundl322 or whatever the blank file is. Makes no sense. Microsofts jank ass mic implementation. Now it will pickup audio from all desktop apps. ""

or solution given by TonyboyyLOL ?
"First off, I did every possible solution that everyone has recommended and none of it worked…I then went clicked random buttons until I got to THIS screen from the ‘devices and printers’ menu. Come to find out, it auto-checked the mute function from this menu specifically…which trumps all other menus/hardware buttons"

Hey there,

If you are still encountering this issue, as it sounds like your mic is being detected by the game and does not seem to be picking up any sound, this could be as a result of the voice chat record threshold setting. This in game setting determines how loud you need to speak for players to hear you so the higher it is set the harder it will be. This setting does understandably cause confusion with players because as opposed to most of the other sliders you may want to place higher, for this setting it typically should be set lower and we would recommend setting it to around 15-20 as a starting point.

I hope this helps but please let us know if you're still experiencing issues and this step and others shared by the other community members in the thread haven't helped. Thanks.
