Jk I dont play ED any more. But for anyone wondering: "Just About" is a Discord clone (with a worse name).
So presumably the reason they want to pay us for screenshots is to attract users to their new service. I guess they got a bunch of VC money to burn.
lol. good luck to them. it's not gonna work :)
policy. Overall this seems pretty good.
-Copyright stays with the User (us) and Deletion of a post on the site removes their Right to further use it (though it seems that prior use in Featured Articles for example stays)
-They seem to ban Scraping of their Website so Ai probably wont be involved (as of now)
-The Payouts are payed for from ad revenue from JustAbout themselves so it does not seem like Frontier is footing the bill here (i refer back to the "i don't know their deal part at the beginning though).
One, in the end actually small, thing i have to Critigue is that on their Website they are not Specifing the Cookies they collect in the usual Popup, they have a Popup but it only says "Accept" or "Reject"
They do have a List in their Cookie Policy though and that one is... Short, like Really short. If i reject cookies it also only installs a single mandatory one.
This does seem like a fairly Good deal for us users, at least for those that want/are willing to participate. I remain a bit skeptical on how viable their Buisnessmodel is in the long term but this seems like a really Unproblematic service in todays digital day and age soooo...
Yeah, make of that what you will
No, i'm kiding, they will NEVER do this , EVER ! ^^
Please take the feedback that many have given: that there are fundamentally broken sides to the features of the game, like multiplayer being poorly implemented and that players cannot co-op exploration in the same vehicle, or that VR is not fully developed and doesnt even work in Oddyssey's first person.
Second to that criticism I'll also say that the biggest investment you could make to pander to the mainstream audience is Ship Interiors like some other comments already mentioned. This would generate hype that would carry this game back into the mainstream.
i would put this kind of money into making some more assets just like the new ship you guys shipped last update
