Should focus on fixing the gameplay so more casual folk can get in and play without having to waste tons of time docking/undocking, supercruising, Jumping to systems, etc etc. Oh there's a new event? First spend 30m-1h getting there...

Edit: It's clear the vocal minority is all that's left here, as evidenced by the declining player count over the years. No they don't need to make it super casual, but it definitely does need QoL for people who don't have multiple hours a day to play and who want to play with friends.

It's a space sim, not Marvel Rivals quick play.

It's also a game, one that's been going downhill for years. Part of the problem is that if you want to play with people you can't be an explorer, and it takes forever to meet up to actually play. Unless you use multicrew which isn't on every ship and requires specific modules be installed. Anyways point is there's alot of issues with this game, and while what that guy is suggesting isn't strictly the main issue he has a good point.

Yeah that's generally the same for real explorers too - very lonely profession - and available for people who do want to play alone.

If I were still playing this game I would tell you that the removal of mechanics like docking un-docking, you know, actual flying of a ship stuff from the game would cause me to stop playing. If you want an arcade style experience there are plenty out there. More games have been ruined by dumbing down for inept people. Even people who just dont have the time because of IRL issues. I'm sorry to say.. Learn to play it as is and manage your time or give it up. Time is what prevents me from playing.. for years now and I would never ask them to abbreviate the game for others so I could play. Besides I have more issues with the game than just time. Game play isn't broken and more casual folk should adapt themselves accordingly.

Ships for cash?! When the hell did that start? I stopped playing about the time arx came to be but I dont remember there being ships for sale.. just cosmetics which I used to buy routinely.

ARX seems to build up quite adequately for regular players - tho I too have other things getting in the way of playing regularly myself.

It's goes after some time in the regular shop so no worries if somoeone doesn't want to use ARX.

A few (at this point 4) updates ago, this is the fourth ship released this year and so far the schedule has been to give a three month early access for the people that want to get it with ARX and then after the time is up sell for in-game credits, as they release a new ship for ARX.

And now it should become abundantly clear why the game is called Elite.
