18000 Merits last week but still rank 1
I don´t rank up in powerplay.
I earned 18000 merits and did the initial 5 tasks.
For the tasks I got rank 1 right away.
But even with switchen to the next week the merits didn´t get me to rank 2.
Why?

the tick is on thursday not monday, maybe this is the thing?

I am waiting to rank up with 18000 merits since wendsday last week.

You have to complete the weekly tasks you get when first pledging to a power. After you do that merits from that point on count to promoting ranks.

Basically have to do the "tutorial", or prove your loyalty, before they actually let your merits count for something.
