I've been asking around to see if anyone knows for certain these noises started *after* the sol invasion.

If they started before the invasion, they could have been an in-game clue we were going to get hit in Sol, but we missed it.

So far, no confirmation either way.

Well, there are a bunch of people that were abducted and we never found them, right? Maybe it's related to that. They're making sounds now, and the shapes are distinctly human.

I have to admit, I immediately started to think - ground combat.
But this could have been a clue to the Sol invasion - it could be some kind of warning about exponential growth...
