However, for those annoying rare to get things, the best option is to keep checking with the NPCs of the factions you are friendly with in the stations. If you see them offering MIs (or other rare stuff) haggle with them hard and get them to double the amount.
I did this with a certain type of component and it really reduced the grind massively.
Was a long time ago though, so not sure how often MI's come up with them.
B.Find a system that has restore missions and collect them steadily from the dataport. If you are using INARA, you can find it from MISC.
If you use A and B together, you can collect more quickly.
A is simpler unless you are in a great hurry, because finding a star system where the two conditions meet may be a bit tedious.
If you are looking for a restart mission in INARA, please forgive me if you don't find a restart mission, because INARA is only suggesting the possibility!
