Hands-down, the boost sound for the Krait Mk II. It sounds like a whale going into a blender.

Heh. These threads are usually the other way around, "what's the best engine sound...?".

I don't think there's any that I truly dislike... There are however many that I have no real opinion of, as there's nothing about them that stands out... All the ones that have something unique I like... Viper 3, Orca, etc...

Plus I've usually got 80-90s thrash metal, or 90-00s DnB blasting through my cans...

-the boost of the krait II sounds like a fart xD
-the dbx sound is annoying loud every bit of course corrections on planet surfaces,
so i prefer the dolphin for exobiology

I know but I've been working with the type 9 while waiting for the new hauler and damn, it annoys me so much lol
It's not even a turbine engine sound, it's more like what I explained earlier, a big electric motor and a propeller just like what we were seeing on the Good Year blimp but in space which every time I hear it makes less and less sense.

Edit: there are so many different jet sounds the devs could've used, I went camping in Virginia beach a few years back and the sounds were giving me goosebumps
Not counting the sounds you can sample in any airport anywhere

Anything that isn't a Cobra to be honest.

DBX, Eagle and I believe Keelback have annoying boost and engine sounds. From those Keelback is the least irritating, though I haven't flown it much.

Never had any issue with Type-9 engine sound. I made billions with it, no issue whatsoever.

I have several complaints about Elite, but none of them are about the sound design. The sound design in this game is top notch all around.

I'm not really in a place to criticize, but since we're here then I'd say Clipper. Its engine is loud af. Given its large size, the engine sound be muffled even more. I had to turn my volume down on my headset since I don't wanna damage my eardrums - it's as if I'm listening to some rock music with speakers right before my ears lol.

So really those engine sound issues have literally been around for years, years and years, still there is no way to tune down the damn volume of those engines?
There's gotta be a way to mod the game, change a file, or something please.

The Cobra MkIII makes an INSANELY loud engine noise, I had to tune down the whole game volume and still, that's all I can hear when piloting around
Same problem with the Vulture, ship looks amazing but its engine sound is super annoyingly loud too it's insane
And don't tell me it's always have been a problem, I KNOW and that's not a good reason/reply, damn why are the devs not caring that much about it? Just a little engine sound slider cmon

There's gotta be a way to either mod the game, have a software on top of ED, or some files changes, it just makes me sad that I have to not use my favorite ships cause of it
