I agree. That is why I had two logical solutions
Personally I also think it's better to choose which letter it's 'supposed' to be rather than the game choosing the 'best' answer. Still, I personally think as a player I should be able to decide whether * Q U A T E = E Q A T E or A Q U A T E (the latter of which the algorithm will automatically choose because A comes before E; even though the former was what I wanted, because I had a modifier when the first and last letter were the same).
It's not about being able to 'beat' the game (by spamming asterisks). It's about being in control of the game. And being able to use these skills for an optimal play.
