Hello, future players of Medieval Contrast! You are probably eagerly awaiting news from us regarding development, game mechanics and, of course, regarding the release date - we answer many of these questions.

At the moment, the development is at the stage of final prototyping of mechanics, while we try to combine prototyping and finalization of finished mechanics with implementation in the main build of the game in order to speed up the development process.

We do not want to make a copy of the games you are already familiar with with a new visual component, but want to create a completely different game in which you will enjoy spending time.

A little about the game

Our game will not intentionally drag out the gameplay for the sake of increased time in the game, on the contrary, we want to make the sequence of game progress a little easier, while leaving a gap for increasing the amount of content, so that you spend time in our game not because of complications in obtaining any resources, opening skills, etc., but due to the interest in the content that our game provides.

Along with the above, we will not intentionally make the first 2 hours of the game more interesting than others, but will present to your attention from the early stages of the game what it is, demonstrating game mechanics and features. From the first steps, you will be able to determine whether you are interested in playing our game or not.

What due to game mechanics

For obvious reasons, we cannot tell you in as much detail as possible about the game mechanics that await you in Medieval Contrast, but we can give you some food for thought.

We decided to abandon the armor equipment system so as not to greatly affect the appearance of the main character, preserving his identity in the game world, while a fairly extensive skill system will help to interestingly cover all the necessary needs associated with character protection.

Our team does not focus on similar game projects, so at first the game may seem unusual to you and, on the contrary, open up later.

The realism of the game world contributes to the resulting game mechanics. You can get wet after the rain and get sick if you do not find a place to warm up in time, or be left without food for the winter if you do not take care of this in advance, since lakes and rivers will simply freeze, and animals will try to avoid you, some will disappear from the radar altogether, as they will hide in their "homes".

If you do not compare yourself with other projects, what should we expect?

This question sounds quite logical and we will be happy to answer it. You will not only have to found your own dynasty and build the first huts, but also set the rhythm for your dynasty, since you are its heart and key link. The fate of the inhabitants who have joined you will depend on your decisions.

In addition to your settlement, the game will have several major points of interest: enemy bases, outposts, peaceful settlements, a trading port with a market, and much more. You will constantly be forced to explore the game world, but doing so with pleasure and interest, not knowing where the next turn in a different direction will lead you.

When will the game be released?

Initially, we planned the release date for December 2025, but we want to create a truly unimaginable game, which is very difficult on the scale of an indie studio. In this regard, at the moment, we think that the first stage of our game will be early access, during which we will be able to bring the game to a result close to ideal, adding new content on a regular basis.

The planned starting price for early access is $10-14, but in some regions the price may differ slightly in one direction or another. In the first week of release, the price of the game will be promotional, namely with a 20% discount.

Will there be an open beta testing and demo?

Open beta testing is not planned, since it was decided to start with early access. The duration of early access is preliminarily estimated at 6-12 months, after which the price of the game will be increased.

We do not plan to launch a demo version of the game yet, but we do not rule it out in the future.
