cant play in fullscreen. taskbar always visible

I have two monitors on a Win-10 machine and this game did not play on full screen until I turned off (power switch) one monitor. With only 1 monitor powered on I now get full-screen, albeit with the top resolution of 1600 x 1024.

Have you tried autohiding the taskbar before launching the game to see if that keeps it off the game screen ?
