Something else I would like to see is varied prices on items. Say one trader comes to your shelter, his price on canned food is 10, then another trader comes and his price of the same item is lower or higher.
I'm loving the caravan trader idea! We will add that to our list :)
It is already possible to get different values on items at the moment. Sometimes you might get a good trade (your stuff is worth double) and other times you might get a bad trade (their stuff is worth double). If it is a neutral trade then both sides have normal trade values.
Basic bags: They can be crafted at the basic workbench and allow the wearer to carry two or three more items.
Small Storage Box: Once again crafted at the basic workbench, it can increase the amount of Shelter storage space by five boxes.
I just personally think there should be basic variants of higher tier items. Less efficent but usefull nonetheless.
Also regarding the Roaming Trader Caravan/Raider Band idea, the icon on the map could be an old horse drawn cart wagon.
2) a use for the dog (hunt, scavenge, fight, catch rats?)
3) a pre apoc scenario, where you can head to the mall and based on your inv space and time, grab items which you choose(food, water, fuel, weapons, ammo, parts)
4)difficulty setting( easier: influences density of other buildings, slower break down of systems, cheaper crafting, slower decay of needs)
Yeah, we can add this. A good idea!
The update was about 2MB so if you blinked you probably missed it! :P
I like the idea of making rope from nylon. I'll look at putting that in!
We do have plans for the pets. They will be coming in a later update. The dog and cat do currently catch rats when you have them. The cat is better at it though.
Our original idea was to have a "grab what you can from the mall" stage before you enter the bunker at the beginning of a playthrough. When we made it and tested it out it wasn't that good. We may revisit the idea at some point in the future though.
All of the main systems in the shelter have multiple tier versions, some don't unlock until the first upgrade to the work bench is complete. The first bag unlocks at that workbench level :)
We'll get that added in, Regen :)
The decontamination upgrades will increase the speed at which the water filter filters out dirty water (even when it is already in your supply). It becomes a waiting/balancing game as to when you can drink the water again :P
