(SOLVED) Restoring hl2 turret animations?

I just noticed that although the turret is functional, some animations in the model don't play after it is deployed (the barrel extending/retracting, firing animations,etc.). is there a way to restore these animations?

A moderator of this forum has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
I found out how:
1. decompile turret model
2. replace all instances of 'TURRET_FLOOR' with 'SENTRY' in the $activity strings.
3. recompile the model and copy it to your custom folder
4. sit back and watch the machines take over your job
However, it seems that the animations only work when in singleplayer, deploying a turret in MP will just revert it to using the original, simple animations.
