Hermes' Runner

Hermes Runner is a 3D movement-based open level parkour punk game. Freerun using Hermes’ boots, deface billboards, and make deliveries in a reimagined 2000s Greek city where the Gods are real, and they own everything.

Final University Update

Hello Runners!

This is our last update as a full university team, but a portion of the team plans to continue working on Hermes' Runner after graduation.

Stay tuned...
For now, our major focus was on polishing the game and fixing bugs, especially based on community feedback. Check it!

More billboards hidden around the city. Can you find them all??
Message delivery leaderboard feature!!
Compare your fastest times against other players globally and on your Steam friends list!
Settings menu with adjustable graphics. (Some say the game is now even playable on a toaster.) ((They are lying…))

Added loading screen before main menu.
Prettied up the dialogue boxes.
Delivery results screen updated for clarity.
Pressing “R” to restart now restarts the current delivery instead of the entire game.
More sound effects - “heh, nice!”
Volume equalized for voice lines.
Message pickup hitbox increased.
Corrected collision of multiple objects - trees are less evil!!
Tweaked the movement system to focus more on momentum.
Movement adjusted for more player control at lower speeds. (Don’t worry you can still go hyper-light speed.)
Revised controls to be more flexible within a single system for controller players:
Bumper Jumper — LB to jump & RB to dash
Traditional — A to jump & B to dash
(Planning to have customizable controls in a future update.)

Fixed jump failing under certain conditions.
Mantle maintains momentum.
Mantle no longer removes double jump.
Temple worker audio fixed (now stereo).
Music no longer cuts out randomly.
Game in focus on start up.
Resetting at the end-level screen now always works.
Credits scroll.
Minor bug fixes.

The other day, I found myself Hermes running down the street and thought to myself "Gee, I wish there was a game about this." And now there is. Anyone else have similar experiences?

Seems like a nice test run (accidental pun detected) Pros: Movement and controller Support seems effective & fun. I like the Music Track Cons: Graphics and Artstyle need a bit of polish I like some of the voice acting but some voices I can't hear at all or just take a bit too long to get their point across. I had some weird errors loading into the game. My controller wasn't working until I started the game then the game exited out ad jumped back in and got controller support. It was a very weird expe...
