edit: fixed by reinstalling latest nvidia driver
To me it seems a lot more like some kind of audio codec issue, but I'm just some layman who knows nothing.
So you are saying that the problem lies in the desktop app rather than the Android app?
streaming from the destkop app to another computer also doesn't work as you state so I hope they fix it up then.
If you click on the '?' button, what is the model and version information that's shown at the bottom?
Please fix, I use this app alot when my family is using the screen and this update (1.3.9.258) just messed it up.
I use a Samsung S22 Ultra.
1. Very stuttery, especially noticeable when standing still and turning the camera in skyrim, witcher 3.
2. Roughly every 2 minutes, getting display latency spikes up to 170ms (normally between 10-30ms) and 33% frame drops. Ping time, streaming latency are at <1ms, packet loss at 0%.
PC (5800X3D, 4070Ti) and shield connected via ethernet. Desktop and streaming res set to 1080p. lowering res, quality, enable or disable hardware encode/decode makes no difference.
Essentially unplayable, any ideas sloken? Moonlight/Sunshine on the Shield working very well but would prefer to use Steam Link as it automatically sets the resolution (mine has to change as monitor is a 3440x1440 ultrawide)
Are you sure it's the app crashing and not Steam? You can look in the Steam dumps folder on the PC to see if Steam is crashing there.
If it's Steam, please let me know and I'll e-mail you to get the crash dump. If it's the app, can you please get the Android crash log using adb? I can walk you through this process over Zoom if necessary.
Can you quit Steam, remove the logs folder, start Steam, start streaming the game, and then send the file logs/streaming_log.txt?
You're welcome! :)
What games are you testing with?
For me the same problem.
