The TRUTH about Hyperdimension Neptunia cancellations on Switch
Greetings to everyone who is a Neptunia fan from his deepest botton of its heart with some good news.

Industry expert Jerrel Dulay recently spoke in a YouTube video about what's up with Idea Factory (IF) canceling the release of their games, including the Neptunia Rebirth trilogy.

We now have a chance to learn from the Neptunia Sisters vs. Sisters situation and realize that IF wasn't the problem because of the hotly debated censorship of its writing. The problem with Neptunia Sisters vs. Sisters was already the ESRB rating system.

What doesn't matter in Japan becomes a problem in North America and Europe: the ESRB rating system has also now set new guidelines to which Nintendo has had to adapt. In order to adapt to the requirements of the ESRB system, Nintendo also had to adapt its guidelines.

The ESRB is the authoritative decision-maker that determines whether a game can be published at all or not; as we know, developers have no chance of changing this. A comparison between Japan and North America and Europe clarifies where developers (not just Idea Factory, but everyone else too) are subject to restrictions.

Since on the one hand there are no problems with the release of games in Japan (and in other non-American and non-European countries), but on the other hand there are only difficulties in North America and Europe due to the ESRB and we now have to experience this again after Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters, we can clearly see here that Idea Factory and also the game Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters were not the problem, but the ESRB system. The fact that Nintendo took the blame and protected its partner Idea Factory, according to business expert Jerrel Dulay, proves this.

Please educate your fellow human beings about this fact; Idea Factory is being wrongly condemned.

I'm having a hard time seeing what the retarded people at the ESRB would see in the Neptunia Trilogy to rate those titles anything above a "T" rating. Also, an ESRB rating is not necessary on Steam, so why did IF stop bringing new games here?

The ERSB system dictates to developers when games may be imported into a European or North American country. If these requirements are not met, the games may not be imported. Spread across the USA, Canada and Europe, this would represent too high and expensive a risk. To be honest, I wouldn't take that risk either. Players would have to do this via other platforms. -- I think that the ERSB system also has more powers than just setting the age rating. There will be more to it than that, because other developers also have problems with the ERSB from time to time.

ESRB, just another bloated organization of people who live to control what others do. Should be dissolved entirely, let the devs/publishers set their ratings; and tell parents to pull their heads out their asses so they can actually raise their children and research what games they play
