Am I missing story plots for the candidates?
The last time I saw any candidates are from the 50% share plan unlock in ReBirth1, Histoire introduced the candidates to the CPUs and that's it.
Then I go to ReBirth2 and everyone seem to have know the candidates for a while now, Gear is fighting along side of 4 CPUs and Compa already named her ge ge.
Is it the intended direction of the storytelling or am I missing some plot somewhere?

Rebirth 1 is a good introduction to the series but is not canon, the canon of the games main games starts with Rebirth 2
