So much potential, yet a mediocre game
Anyone else feel letdown after the end of the first case? I thought it was a 1 case game, so when it finished I thought it was so rushed and so short it does not make any sense. Then I found out there are several cases and that's where I lost interest in the game. :( I just got attached to characters and thought the real investigation is about to begin then boom, it's over?

It would have been nice to have a 1 case game, 1 case with extended investigation. Instead, the case felt so rushed, then hop to another one. I feel like I didn't do anything much and all of a sudden, the end. I am not even sure if I continue or what. Are the cases connected in any way? Or did they just pile some cases randomly in the game?

It's kind of sad because it had potential to be a great detective game.

There's an overarching story with Katelyn and Holme's new neighbour. The second case's conclusion makes even less sense than the first one. Currently about to finish the third case and it's a bit better than the previous two, I hope the conclusion makes at least a bit of sense.

The game structure with multiple cases is based on Crimes and Punishments.

Haha. I just had the opposite experience with Testament. I expected multiple cases like Crimes and Punishments, but then realised I had to keep track of everything over a 16 hour game. I came here to find out if this game was multiple cases again, so I can play one case & come back to it later.

I highly recommend checking out Crimes and Punishment and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes.
