So, any news?
It wouldn't hurt to have weekly or even bi-weekly updates. It isn't asking much. Takes all of five minutes and lets us know you're still working on the game.

Hi, we're still working on it. :)
Racing Authority  [developer] 23 Sep, 2019 @ 8:45am
New previews coming soon here on Steam.

Hoping soon means by the end of the month. Goodness knows it'd be nice for the game to actually start downloading an update. But...take your time I suppose. Better to get it right than to rush it.

Is VR still in the works?
If so, is there any ETA?
My wheel is ready ;-)

And as usual it's been over two weeks since we heard something...

I keep saying it AGAIN AND AGAIN but we need weekly or at least bi-weekly updates. Is it so hard? No. Even a single sentence. Come on guys...

Hi, sorry for the late reply, VR will be available straight away!
For some testing action we still need a month or so, VR will not be available for the first test though, but it will soon after.
Some preview pics coming soon.

I really don't care about VR at all. Any non-VR news?

That's great to hear, thx for the reply
If you need any beta testers, I already own the Premium version of Racecraft and have several VR HMD's which I can use (Rift CV-1 / Vive / Odyssey WMR & the Quest w/Link Cable).

Upcoming news are not on VR :)

Ah excellent. I just find VR mostly pointless currently especially with how expensive it still is. At least Racecraft won't be one of those VR "games" where you flail around like a moron for reasons.

To be fair I do think VR in racing and other simulator type games actually makes sense, it's just not an interesting technology to me.

To be fair, have you even tried VR?
I can't imagine playing a racing sim WITHOUT it anymore ;-)
Yes, it's that immersive.

Yes, let me waste over 500$ on some pointless thing I'd hardly use. How about no. I will probably never try VR either since...it simply does not interest me. I like being able to see around me and being tethered to my PC even more than I already am with my headset would not be fun at all. One cable is enough, thanks.

Wow!
And here I thought that I was the Kranky one, LOL!!!

So you're crapping on something you haven't even tried?
BTW, motion platforms are awesome as well, but you wouldn't wanna try that out either, right?
;-)

I tried motion controls once, wii, and never again. I rather go outside and do something productive. To me gaming is about sitting down and having fun, not flailing about. Just not for me. If you like it then whatever floats your boat.

You don't need to buy an expensive setup to try out VR - There are multiple choices of software enabling you to stream gameplay to a mobile phone allowing it to be used as a VR headset.

I've tried them on racing games in the past. While it gave a lot more sense of depth(particularly proximity to other cars) in other racing games, using a mobile phone has a few downsides that left me still playing on a monitor.

The main issues i had with my experience were increased input latency(likely due to a lower refresh rate compared to my monitor) and screen-door effect reducing usable view distance to about 150m(my current phone uses a PenTile display which magnifies it a lot). A proper VR headset would solve both issues but it's out of my budget - at least for the time being.
