If so, is there any ETA?
My wheel is ready ;-)
I keep saying it AGAIN AND AGAIN but we need weekly or at least bi-weekly updates. Is it so hard? No. Even a single sentence. Come on guys...
For some testing action we still need a month or so, VR will not be available for the first test though, but it will soon after.
Some preview pics coming soon.
That's great to hear, thx for the reply
If you need any beta testers, I already own the Premium version of Racecraft and have several VR HMD's which I can use (Rift CV-1 / Vive / Odyssey WMR & the Quest w/Link Cable).
Upcoming news are not on VR :)
To be fair I do think VR in racing and other simulator type games actually makes sense, it's just not an interesting technology to me.
To be fair, have you even tried VR?
I can't imagine playing a racing sim WITHOUT it anymore ;-)
Yes, it's that immersive.
Wow!
And here I thought that I was the Kranky one, LOL!!!
So you're crapping on something you haven't even tried?
BTW, motion platforms are awesome as well, but you wouldn't wanna try that out either, right?
;-)
I've tried them on racing games in the past. While it gave a lot more sense of depth(particularly proximity to other cars) in other racing games, using a mobile phone has a few downsides that left me still playing on a monitor.
The main issues i had with my experience were increased input latency(likely due to a lower refresh rate compared to my monitor) and screen-door effect reducing usable view distance to about 150m(my current phone uses a PenTile display which magnifies it a lot). A proper VR headset would solve both issues but it's out of my budget - at least for the time being.
