HOTAS Support
Hello, what happened to this game's HOTAS support?
I remember setting up both sides of my throttle, one for each engine.
I came back today and the control menu is drastically different and it reads my X56 hotas as a single input device. So I literally can't assign my throttle and my stick at the same time, it reads them as the same input. Leading to me attempting to accelerate, and push forward on my stick, which then reads as negative (I invert my Y axis on my stick) for the throttle.

Hi Naeromar, The input system was completely rewritten, but should still support HOTAS 100%. If its reading your stick and throttle as the same thing, then that is a bug. Do you have any middle-ware controlling the x56?

Only the Logitech x56 Drivers and when things are a little hairy I use DIView to set my deadzones/tolerances.

Just so you know, I am in the middle of moving house, so it might be a month or so. I am going to be dedicating a big block of time to handle some of the input issues when the dust settles.

Hello, was wondering if there was any estimated timeline? Been itching for some mars racing.

Hi Naeromar,
I am settled in the house and I did update the input system. You can try it out in the Beta tab of the game. I didnt get to try out an x52 because my friend sold it. The new Beta input change is an input disable option. You can see all of your accepted inputs, and remove the ones that provide conflicts. Try this out, remove all other inputs, see if you get a better a response. Barring this I will have to buy an x52 :(

Perfect, I'll go up to that beta branch right now! Thank you!

Checked it out and it does not look to have fixed the issue x,x
My stick is being read as the throttle so it is binding both still.

Anyone playing this with an X52? That's what I have an I'm considering grabbing this in the sale because sim racing in VR is now my thing whether with a car in Dirt Rally and Assetto Corsa using my Thrustmaster TX Leather or in a jet via Jetborne Racing with my X52.

Will this slot nicely in with those? Does it compare favorably and is the HOTAS support the preferred method of input?

X52 still doesnt seem to work right, unfortunately. I have to source one and troubleshoot.

Ive had my eyes on some used ones but wanted the price to drop a bit, but you are right, I could just resell it on.

So here is an update:
I bought an x52 and it works perfectly. If you are experiencing Logitech Hotas troubles at this stage, I am not sure what to tell you as I doubt the underlying software/hardware of these controllers are much different from each other. I didnt install any Logitech software, I just plugged it in, Windows saw it, and it registered every single button, hat and slider.
