I didn't vote for Ark solely on the fact that you tried to bribe us with early release of a dino. Whether or not it would still be released in the future doesn't matter. The fact you offered to release it early only *IF* you won the award is just plain bribery. I voted for stardew instead.

stardew is a farm game, it doesn't deserve that award because it doesn't use the farm animals in a special way, just in a standard way, either ark or goat simulator deserves this award.

Farm simulator and stardew are the only two real options, and stardew is more interactive with the farm animals.


How are you supposed to use a farm animal in a special way, there's only so many ways you can milk a cow or harvest chicken eggs lmao...

The only thing ark has in terms of farm animals is collecting dino poop and using it as fertaliser for your plants. Nobody breeds dino's with the intent to harvest them for meat or skin lmao it's easier to just kill wild ones which is closer to a survival/butcher game then it is a farming game.

This is what happens when WC goes back and edits a previous announcement instead of making an addendum. It adds more confusion from lack of proper communication. Initially it was worded to reflect that 'if' they won, they would put in the new "dino."

That said, I think the goat has great potential and would be a fun addition as livestock. I hope the resource gathering from it is low, however. I've given up on the dino fantasy style gaming when wyrverns were added so anything from mythical fantasy and realiism goat fantasy is the same difference. :D

Yes, they stated it. However, that's not the original statement. But the internet archives work fast, and here's the statement that was replaced with the current one:

If ARK wins the award, we will ensure that our fluffy friend quickly makes its debut on the ARK in the next major version update!

The first 5 words are pretty clear, IF Ark wins the award.

We collect eggs, we collect poop, we collect achatina stuff, we use bugs to make fertillizer... that's farming alright, and now with the sheep we'll be able to ride it into battle, I don't see that happening in any of those other games, and Goat Sim atleast makes fun use of a farm animal, I mean who doesn't love to knock people from planet earth with a goat...
