Does anyone know how much storage space they take up? Or where and how to check?

If I delete the save file from the singleplayer menu like you would do with other maps, does it straight up delete the map or is it still using storage?

I'm making a lot of maps to figure out how to make one I like and I want to make sure Im not slowly hogging my storage
