no matter the solutions I've tried from these other threads the game never saves my progress, it's annoying

I just find out that my save game went missing after I quit the game. Everytime I launch the game it says "no valid save game found"

It's been months since the game team said they were going to fix this and we're still having this problem to this day. You can't tell me a game from before 2010 is this hard to fix...

The game actually saves it's progress to your computer, but it does not understand that it did. When you restart the game, just press "No" to not create a new profile and then Yes to continue without saving. In the main menu go to the Manage Profiles and Load. It will say there is no save game but it actually loaded my name and my song stat as well....
