- Check if you got all the required libraries installed (Visual C++ Runtime and the other crap, that this game may require).
- Install DIrectX 9.0c, doesn't come with Windows 10/11, but can be installed on them with the web installer from the microsoft.com page.
- Check if you got mods subscribed. Sometimes people just forget them and they still get installed with the game. Outdated Mods can crash the game.
- Run Game as Administrator (it is absurd, but some game really need this).
- Do NOT install the Flash crap. Flash is outdated, abandoned and Adobe clearly states, that it is a freaking security risk and SHOULD NEVER BE INSTALLED AGAIN. Game works without.
Not sure about the Adobe AIR stuff, but hey. It is the developers job to change their game, so it doesn't require outdated security risks to run.
- If you are a programmer, disable all debuggers. Many older games crash if there is a debugger installed. Uninstalling them kinda fixes the problems, which is strange.
If by chance all that didn't work, check the EVENT LOG in Windows. Sometimes Windows catches the error itself in that log. Maybe it helps.
