Restore the multiplayer chatrooms as it was wrongly removed in a patch... Oh, yeah. Maybe they shouldn't touch this game anymore.
Yari wall is broken when the unit shatters, leaving them standing there like a land mine.
AI archers should use loose formation
Spear square should be unlockable, instead of being a cut feature (or paid feature for a hero unit that can use it)
Ships in vanilla Shogun 2 have a ridiculous threshold thanks to a patch breaking it in the past
Siege battle pathfinding as a whole
Naval battle AI loves to stick to a corner and stay there
The AI currently ignores a number of gameplay mechanics, therefore forcing the player to ignore the countermechanics to them. Fix your AI so that half the game isn't useless.
Making any changes to the units_table will screw up projectile sounds, making everything sound like cannons.
The Oda are completely missing their banner icon on the campaign map.
Theres no Takeda variant of the Great Guard.
Trait effects don't stack. Others can never be obtained.
If you have bugs or issues to raise, we'd recommend doing this via the official Total War forums: https://forums.totalwar.com/categories/total-war-eras-support-forum
They recommend posting it in their forums because the topic will get linked to a general troubleshooting FAQ and never addressed but will have less visibility than the Steam forums.
Also, for everyone taking the time to write "Need to fix ____."
CA are not adding any new content and certainly will not take any time to patch/repair existing content. This was a simple programming/exe fix to shore up a potential legal liability. Pathfinding AI has been broken since Empire and in Warscape (CA's engine) more generally. Similarly, memory/texture and graphical processing errors have gone unfixed in nearly every title for the past decade.
The developer simply is not interested in creating reliable titles with dedicated support, let alone expanded, years-long development. You are wasting your time asking for anything.
They release a title, it is bugged, they fix a few bugs while they peddle DLC, they make vague statements about "next gen" performance and how their game is demanding on current hardware, the CA fanboys will say it's your CPU/memory/GPU bottleneck and post various well-know "fixes", and this will go on for about 9 months until all the DLC comes out. Then after about 18 months of ignoring their customers, they will officially announce an end to content development and that's it. The end. This has been the exact model for over a decade.
I have thousands of hours in CA titles going back to Rome I. I helped create some of the biggest TW mods going back to Rome I, and have modded nearly every title. Something changed around 2009 when Empire was released. CA quite simply stopped taking customer feedback and actually took steps to hinder the modding community, since modding exposed their own shortcomings in development. They also seemed to throw off any desire to create immersive historical scenarios and opted for arcade engagement.
While modding could sustain CA titles' lack of content in earlier titles, you can't fix the programming/exe issues. That's on them. And there's only so much modding can do. They want it this way. It will not be fixed until a competitor routes them, and even then they will probably just drop out altogether since historical titles based on conquest/war can be politically sensitive.
Might as well try while their eyes are on it.
As for Steam achievements, I really couldn't care less.. :D
