Op-Ed: One Week Later...

Hello all you storm hunters,

Today marks one whole week since the release of "Kill the Twister".

As of writing this, I'm pleased to report that the game is nearing 1,500 unique users and over 40 reviews!

It's been a fantastic experience seeing everyone's reactions and hearing their feedback. I'm glad my weird little game about murdering a cone of wind hit home for some of you x)

As far as future plans go, at the moment the game feels basically complete to me. Most of the major issues I spotted in playthroughs were resolved in the patch the other day, though if anyone has any bugs or small suggestions I'd love to hear them (I'll be keeping an eye on the community hub especially).

I might add in a few little details and easter eggs in the future, but for now I'm looking to move on to other projects. Keep an eye on my bluesky page[bsky.app] for any exciting updates on that front!

In the meantime, I just want to give my sincerest thanks to everyone who's tried this game out. Bringing together this strange experience has been a joy and I'm grateful I got to share it with so many of you. I hope a lot of you had a fun time.

Breaking News: "Kill the Twister" has received a patch

Update Alert: a patch has been reported in the local region

Citizens have reported a number of small changes affecting weather patterns and user interaction in nearby games. Reported changes include:

Tornado attacks are slightly more spaced out
Whirls appear in smaller groups
Moving while zoomed in will cancel the zoom
Tutorial text lingers a bit longer
Most recent tutorials and objectives are now displayed in the pause menu
Added a "Very Easy" mode for those seeking a more chill experience
Added a "Very Hard" mode for those seeking pain
Added an arrow indicator to better warn the player of incoming meteors
Made it so meteor cant kill you when you have the bazooka
Fixed the shotgun not firing the first time you click after picking it up

Local advisory boards recommend immediate replays to ensure quality control. Further updates to be expected in the coming days.

Kill The Twister is now live!

STORM ALERT:

A bite sized game featuring a massive tornado is coming your way!

I am very pleased to announce that "Kill the Twister" is now available for free on Windows platforms! Designed as a ~30 minute boss fight, I hope that it serves as a fun challenge for FPS players old and new.

Mac builds are still a work in progress, but should hopefully be available within the next week or so. I'll be posting any relevant updates one my Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/jarkonian.bsky.social

In the meantime, I'll be keeping an eye on the Steam and Itch pages for any bugs or news players have. With that said, please leave a review or post if you liked the game or have any feedback you'd want to send my way! We only need 10 reviews to get a massive boost from Steam, so any little comment helps.
