[5/16/25] - Patch Notes (Ghost Replays)

After two weeks of development I am proud to announce a major feature to PreStrafe!

Ghost Replays

Replays are recorded everytime your time trial starts or resets automatically
Keeps track of all of your locations, rotations, animations, and Steam ID
Stored securely and automatically online for upload/download, keeping only your best record
Leaderboards now have an "eyecon" for each user that has an available ghost replay, toggle on and off independently
Replays are only uploaded upon achieving a better record (ask to remove your record)
Each ghost that you spawn has a random generated color for ease of visibility

Added extra check to WR update if they equal rank 1 (to fix wrongful user id)
Removed path from game instance for editor placables (to fix duplicates hopefully)
Reduced max grounded velocity Z while slope boosting (makes it more effective)
Reduced max speed (50k to 25k) and dynamic air acceleration (1000 to 500)
Added auto refresh when clicking find servers
Added new top workshop list to main menu

New tech: slope-roll-boost (SRB for short) and slope-flip-boost (SFB)
Enabled walljumping from flipping and vice versa
Added dynamic friction based on player velocity (higher speed = less friction)
Added dynamic air acceleration based on player velocity (higher speed = greater accel)
Might've fixed differing client vs server speed/acceleration
Reduced time from landing to enable dive
Reduced air acceleration for flip
Minor animation transition improvements between states
Changed speedometer to read only horizontal velocity
Set menu buttons audio to sound classes
Reduced wind audio volume
Added noclip detection during a time trial
Added booster to level editor
Doors now close upon resetting trial (doors can be used extensively now)
Fixed up collision when placing lights and special actors

In order to perform SRB or SFB you need to be going fast enough upon hitting a slope, you will want to perform the dive (into roll) or flip as soon as you hit the slope for maximum effect. Doing an SRB will reset your walljumps and allow full air acceleration.
