Update (Nov 2022): I've given up on trying to mod this game. I released a dll mod of the assembly file, and none of my changes had the intended result, but rather the inverse of the intended result. I decreased the rate of rest gain in the code, and ingame, it increased it. I reduced research time by 4, and instead it multiplied it by 4. I did a search for an answer to this question before posting and could not find anything definitive. Is it mentioned in game lore somewhere and if so can you point me in the right direction on where to find it? Thanks in advance for any help with this.
