Solution to play the game if you have retail version

Here is the link to download to the patch to make it work, once you pick the one you need it will work, i just reinstalled the game and did this and it worked.

Seems SEGA no longer hosts the patch. Someone uploaded it here https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/1589-alpha-protocol-activation-patch/.
