Semi Pro - Professional team status
Does anybody remember what conditions I need to meet to enable my team to turn pro? Team is poor so I'm sure bank balance helps anything else?

Getting them promoted to a full-time league is probably the biggest thing !!

Who are you playing as ?

Can't remember if they started as non-pro, but I took Bath City to the English Premier League.

African Warriors, South Africa Div 1

The most frustrating part, when you start the game with them they have a foreign striker, he was so good, contract ended, he would re-sign but they would never allow his work permit as I'm semi-pro, sad times

Ah, I've no experience of the African leagues.
I've done all the 'Hero' achievements, but not ventured into the lesser known leagues. :)

I remember picking St. Alban's but, a bit like you, could only take them so far. Just didn't have the finances to progress any further. Think I promoted them once, but just couldn't improve their finances to allow any more progression.
I think the best thing when picking your team is to go for the teams that sound most financially secure.

Nice, I plan to do the hero achievements. I've only just noticed them after all these years!

Well I always wanted to win the African champions league and picked soley on the best sounding team name... Now I'm committed to my team so can't stop yet

My choice of St Alban's was because they were local to where I lived at the time !!
In the end some league team offered me a job so I decided it was time to bail on them. Usually I just stick with 1 team for a whole career. In fact, I think that was the only time I've changed teams mid career. From St Alban's I took Scunthorpe to the Premier League, before accepting an offer from Napoli. I won Serie A with them 4 times. One season also claiming the European Cup, Italian Cup & Italian Super Cup. At which point I moved on to another career !!
Rising to league 2 or having 1m in the bank usualy works
