PS5 & PC - Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where Vesper could occasionally behave abnormally during Phase 2 of the fight.

Fixed a few abnormal behavior or voice lines for Liana under certain conditions.

Fixed some abnormal behavior for specific NPCs in the Imperial Capital - Harbor area in the Interlude chapters.

PS5 & PC – Gameplay Optimizations

Enhanced the hit sound effects for weapons and monsters.

Adjusted the trigger distance for dialogue interactions to enhance gameplay flow.

Updated the credits.

Optimized models and animations for select NPCs.

Improved the landing animation for Kaser when descending from the air, making it easier to predict the landing position.

PC-Specific Optimization

Mouse side buttons can now be assigned in the key rebinding menu for more flexible control customization.

We’ve rolled out a new patch for PC & PS5 addressing key bugs and making optimizations to improve stability, performance, and combat flow.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed a rare crash that could occur during auto-save while capturing screenshots.

• Addressed an issue where voice audio was too quiet in the post-Vesper battle cutscene.

• Optimized performance during the final boss fight to resolve significant frame rate drops.

• Fixed an issue where players were unable to progress through the quest “Venture further into the Entropis Dimension” under certain conditions.

• Resolved an issue where reloading a save after defeating the final Elite enemy in the Prologue—Imperial Plaza area could prevent progression under specific circumstances.

Optimization

• Updated in-game button icons to support the newly added “Control Settings C” preset.

• Optimized the mechanics for Greatsword and Scythe in certain combos, improving overall combat for a smoother experience.

• Enhanced animations for select NPCs.

Dear players,

We are planning to release patches frequently in the near future. If you notice an unusually patch size, or experience stuttering, crashes, or failure to launch after an update, please use Steam’s “Verify Integrity of Game Files” function to check the game files, then restart your computer and launch the game again. Also double-check that the “Display” and “Graphics” settings have not set to unexpected values.

Our game automatically detects your hardware and applies a tested graphics preset; please treat manual changes with caution. If your framerate is low, try lowering “Super Sampling Quality,” “Shadow Quality,” and other options that heavily impact performance. In our tests, “Low Latency Mode” can reduce FPS on certain configurations; we recommend comparing on/off to see which feels smoother.

The Frame Generation feature (Settings → Graphics page) usually boosts FPS, but on some weaker GPUs or high-resolution displays it can occasionally reduce performance; we recommend toggling it on and off to see which feels smoother.

Keep your GPU drivers and Windows fully updated, and close unnecessary background applications. Some screen-recording, video-playback, or anti-virus software may reduce performance.

This update requires shader re-compile. If the game crashes during shader compilation, please try restart the game and allow the process to finish.

A new patch is now live for PS5 and PC.
We’ve addressed a number of issues and made several gameplay optimizations to improve your experience. Details below.

PS5 & PC – Bug Fixes

• Fixed a rare issue preventing the Upgrade Menu from unlocking. No new save file is required—the menu will automatically unlock after installing the update.

PS5 & PC – Gameplay Optimizations

• Greatsword skills: Adjusted attack mechanics and improved responsiveness.

• Auto-save: Improved logic in Chapter 4.

• Kaser Roll: Adjusted invincibility frames for smoother game experience.

• NPC animations: Enhanced for smoother visuals.

• Controller: Added a new preset control scheme.

• Puzzles & mini-games: Difficulty adjustments for improved gameplay flow.

• Cutscenes & credits: Can now be skipped at any time.

• Skill points: Adjusted to 3 points when unlocking new weapons.

• Divine gold drops optimization: Players can get more divine gold in hard and nightmare mode, and dispersed dimension.

• Boss difficulty: Tweaked across Normal, Hard, Nightmare modes.

• Skill & boss VFX: Optimized visual effects for clarity and impact.

• Equipment: Adjusted timing for items sold by the weapon merchant.

PC-Specific Fixes

• Addressed performance, framerate, and lag issues affecting certain Windows versions.

The latest update for Lost Soul Aside, released on September 1 and 2, 2025, includes the following improvements:

PS5 & PC

• Fixed a rare issue preventing the Option - Upgrade Menu from unlocking. No new save file is required—the Upgrade menu will automatically unlock once the update is installed.

• Other bug fixes.

PC

• Fix performance/frame rate/lag related issues that occur in specific versions of Windows.

Fixed stability issues on specific PC configurations that were introduced by the patch released at 18:34 China Time on September 1.

After installing this patch, the performance issues previously reported on certain PC configurations should be resolved. We appreciate your feedback and confirmation!

This update includes the following improvements:

• Fixed an extremely rare issue where the Option - Upgrade Menu could fail to unlock. No new save is required; the Upgrade Menu will be automatically unlocked after the patch is installed.

• Additional bug fixes.

This update includes data changes; on first launch after patching, the game may exit and re-compile shaders, which is normal.
