The game is asking for admin rights when you start, right? It should.

What kind of harddrive are you using? (There was once a bizarre problem with one specific model. Just in case...)

The save games should go in AppData, usually AppData\Roaming\The Sea Will Claim Everything.

When Steam instaled game and created shortcut on dekstop I not found in properties option "open with admin rights"... It's first weirding. Second weirding is realy awesome: in directory AppData\Roaming\ folder of game "The Sea Will Claim Everething" doesn't exsist. What I meant previously. I tryed to disable antivirus, but no results :( I have suspious that UAC in Windows 10 doesn't allow game to created their files in path " AppData\Roaming\". But I disabled it too and no results again :( Bad updating Windows in any case.

I thought this activity of UAC not pleasure. I see, it's correctly. But why is folder with saves wasn't created by game?

The fact that it asks for admin rights is deliberate, because on some systems there are unpredictable problems with saving otherwise. It's rare, but it happens. Usually this solves it. For people who dislike this, there's an alternate version you can download via the Properties menu.

I'm confused, honestly. Can you post what type of system you're running this on, just in case something pops out at me?

Still thinking about what else to try. So far the problem has always been solvable...

What type of hard drive do you have?

I have two physical drives. One of them too old, cause I took it with previously old pc.
What answered my device manager. ST3250410AS ATA Device and WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0 ATA Device (Here has been installed game, but my OS stand on first hard drive of this list).
There is NTFS file system.

What is your UAC levl set to? If your account in the administrators group?

Jonas, is this simiilar to the issues you were tryign to address with the runas admin in the maninfest. Perhaps this woudl be a good case to dig into

Eхаctly. But my account not in administration group. I ran game with administration rights trough properties shortcut usually. In admin group window doesn't pop up. I ran game from here too. No results for saves.

Lvl is default. And if I run game through the properties with admin rights(User account) then appears window UAC system with request for run game. And also I tried to disable UAC too.

Ok so a couple of things to be aware of, which may be at the root of the issue. There are times where UAC doesnt do quite the right thing. Its a weird matrix. If UAC is off, and you are not in the admin group you cannot get elevated period. Thing will fail silently or in other weird ways. Under normal curucumstaces with UAC on, a prompt for 'asadmin' in a program's manifest will choose ( i think) the admin with the lowest user number and prompt for that credential. (you can choose another admin user)

That being said. I also run my privilded account seperate and only use it for elevtion. When I ran the elevated version and authed. I'd have to flip back to the auth version check wher it put the save file.

Can you go to the game proeprties and check out the betas and isntall the non-auth version to see if that resolves your issue. If not, I'd like to try and work with you to see if I can better nail down which ocorner of authorization you are having issues with. Janas was nic enough to upt that non-auth version up becused i asked for it, and the auth version was to fix someone eolse's problem.

Anyway, Natalya, you can try going to the Steam library, right-clicking, selecting Properties, then going to the Betas and selecting the "noadmin" version from the dropdown menu. That version doesn't ask for admin rights at all.

I must admit I don't fully understand what's happening here. This particular configuration hasn't popped up before, but the savegames have always been weirdly nightmarish, and all the advice I've gotten from fellow indies is "we have that problem too, all the time."

Hmm... Ok. I activiated true admin account(sounds werd, yeah) through panel Controller of computer or somehow so in my translation. In section Local users and groups. I don't remember what exatly I did, but I received separate Admin account, at least I think so. Now I can choose account in Windows panel. It's separate.

Accordingly by the now moment I've tried to run and betas version as you said. And to save-load game. I've tried it in common user account and I've done it in privilided account(I hope it is. Before I disabled UAC there just in cause). It doesn't solve it. I really confusion. Saves did not appears. I checked in folders AppData different accounts.

What's else? I don't know... Maybe this is font? I mean encoding of font or something so. My accounts prescribed on russian language. Maybe that's cause? And can I ask? What execution of saves has game?
