Bug reports and troubleshooting

Hello friends!
This is the new thread for troubleshooting and to tell us of any bugs you find playing Super cane Magic ZERO. We closed the one created during early access to avoid confusion with older issues.
You can use this thread to report your problems and let us know if something unexpected happened during your game experience.

Please, try to be the most precise you can! Your information will make much easier for us to solve bugs and issues! For example, remember to tell us what OS you are using and what were you doing in the game when you encountered the problem.

I was playing and recording yesterday using portuguese language, and suddently all the dialog texts disappeared.

@01:08:01 and onwards.

At first I assumed it was missing some new strings in portuguese, but later on I even changed to english, and still couldn't see any dialog texts anymore (@01:18:34).

Windows 10 64-bit.

Didn't try reopening the game (which I assumed would fix the issue perhaps) as I went to sleep after the playthrough, but I can give it a shot today if desired.

Hi Darkness, sorry for this issue, and thank you for the precise info on this bug. We'll check what's going on. If you restart the game it should be fixed. It's probably a bug in that specific dialog.

We uploaded a small patch that should fix this issue with the portuguese language

when i speak with the npc in the store in lava town the game stop the meteors keep falling but i cant move or do anyting pls help

I'm not sure if it's a bug per se... but apparently I missed reading Wizard Soilent's notes and such at the beginning of the game, then progressed through the game and read the various pizza comics. Apparently this does not trigger progress on the quest, so I had to go back to the academy and read his notebook, then speak to the comic book guy, and now I need to backtrack through the game again to read the comics...

It would be nice if it had registered that I had already read them, as some zones are... let's just say "less fun" than others to have to run through again.

just got the game, but can't play, it's say steam initalization failed, even if the game is running on the background

Here's a couple:

1. If you resize the window, the game doesn't save what you chose next time you open the game.
2. The salami counter will cut off a digit or two when you have four or five digits worth.

Achievement "From the Grave" doesn't seem to work (at least for me). I have killed numerous enemies (sometimes several at once) with damage done after character death (explosions, DoT etc.) but this achievement still doesn't pop.

Playing the Switch version. I was in Lava Bakery, paused the game briefly and received a message “The software was closed because an error occurred.” I receive this error a LOT, pretty much every time I play the game randomly crashes 1-2 times.

There are also some random lagging issues where everything will slow down for a moment. Also, when you start the game it seems to hang for a long time on the screen that says “this game uses automated saves..”
