Yup, there are 4 hidden buttons to press that will unlock a secret passage at the top, which contains some nice items. The guide also gives the answers for finding those, in the "SHARDY'S ISLAND TOURS" section.

Where i can find entrance to fishmans?

That's achieved by going all the way to the left after the fight with Rando near the very end of the game.

Also, what's with that one cave in the 3rd Area? The one you enter at the lowest point in the main 3rd Area screen, that just gives you 4 tiles to move in but shows you another cave system clearly visible. I get that its probably supposed to be the end point of somewhere else, but I can't figure out where.
One more question, Was the part at the end of the Joy Town really the extra area added by Pain Mode? I get it if it is, cuz that part is neat, but it feels sorta short. I feel like I'm either a big dummy and missing something or a big dummy and not realizing I didn't miss anything. Help a dummy out?

How do I get the bicycle? I'm still in the first area, got the firebombs, but don't see anywhere to go next

At the three main doorways in the first hub area (only one you'd have reached so far), there should be a small hole between the far left and middle doorway. You need to go in there, and the bike should be waiting at the end. Be ready for a Boss fight before that, though.
