Game length

I've heard great things about this game, but seeing that its a menu style rpg I fear if i get it I will become quickly bored and drop it, like I usually do with that genre.

While I might be interested in the story, if the game drags on too long there is only so far I can push myself. So, just a simple question, how long is the game? 5 hours? 10? 30? Longer?

You can casually beat the game in just under 5 hours, but if your trying to get the most out of the game- get all the secrets, party members, and hidden stuff. More like 7 or 8 hours.
