Updates on Android?

At this point I feel I need to ask. I've been playing this on PC and Android (mostly the latter) on and off for a couple years now, and I've been keeping an occasional eye on content updates. However I'm starting to notice that a lot of the content updates tell about seems to be missing from the Android version...?
Is the Android version not getting updated?

First thing I really notice is outfit choices for crew/captain which seems drastically more limited on the Android version, for more specific examples I'd have to do an actual direct comparison....

Anyway, am I just getting the wrong impression here and all the update content is just locked behind some unlocks I'm probably never gonna achieve...?

You do have the wrong impression. All updates go to Android and iOS. They are often a few days behind, and sometimes one update will get skipped as the next update is following quickly. But 100% of the content and features is always pushed to Android. There are no differences outside of UX changes for touch screens. Take a closer look at the update options and you will find they are 100% the same.

Alright, sorry, it's just that I notice a lot of stuff in update screenshots that I've never seen ingame and finding it a little odd is all. Either way I consider this one entirely answered, thank you.

Some of the ship components or gear shown in the screenshots are late game and aren't immediately available until unlocked by story. All outfits are immediately available.

Let me know about a specific screenshot with confusion and I can help.

I'm fine with knowing stuff is supposed to unlock later, the game just has a tendency to kill me first since I'm somewhat masochistic, playing at difficulties that will see my captain killed... ^-^°

I suppose outfit options will unlock aswell for use in new playthroughs for some actions, because screenshots of those in the last couple news updates are really what made me end up asking in the first place...

Outfits do not unlock and are available at all times during the game. Any screenshot you have should be included in your game. Are you changing your appearance from the roster?

Hmmh that's odd then. Easiest and first example that comes to mind is the first screenshot in your news update for Update #369 which shows a captain during character generation.
This particular outfit is not available in my game. Neither for character generation nor for crew.

Current game version for me reads 3.4.29 and google play store tells me it's the most recent... oO°

I must admit I've not installed it via steam right now to crosscheck...
