My advice is to try loading a different save *then* load your newest save.

For me I had to load a save from a previous level at one point.
Starting a new game then loading your last manual save might work too.

Those methods didn't work for me. I also tried setting all my graphics on the lowest and it still crashed. I have a backup save that isnt too far away, so ill just continue from there

Yeah that's the best.

My advice for anyone else is to keep saving in different slots, at least *one* of them should work.
