what does that mean for currently existing mods and modded savefiles?

this is sort of like when you're in the hospital and the doctor says he has great news but the great news is that you only have a few weeks of suffering left.

It is sad to know that Medieval Enginers will not go any further, it is one of my favorite games thanks to the physics and everything that can be done in it. But Space Engineers has been more successful and it is understandable that you focus more on it, Keen Software House is not a great studio, and it cannot afford to distribute so much work.

Thank you very much for this great game.

At least they fixed stuff? I suppose that's always a +. But really, ME should have had at least some more content added before it's "Full release".

Same here. I saw this update and while I at least got something in terms of fun out of the game, I can't help but feel that this game had a lot of potential that could have made it much better.

I guess it is nice to know that the game if, maybe not but probably definitely abandoned so I don't have to keep checking every time I remember it is unfinished. Sucks, but at least me and my friends had some good times to justify what I spent on it.

You should NOT be allowed to release this to the public and make addition sales on this title after this announcement. Did you not have ADULTS where you grew up? Abandonware does not deserve future sales to gamers not in the loop.

Steam supporting you out of EA and into a fully released, what a joke. Shut down the sales and make it free it's being abandoned ffs

i been playing it on n off for a while i came back recently but i'm waiting access to a Closed beta for a rival survival space game .

i really think sandbox games are due to evolve soon with the introduction of RTX it's only a matter of time before we see partical phsics allow true voxal gameplay

Sadly, no. The only joke are the people that continue to recommend this company and it's products. The ones that refuse to see the obvious truth now plainly evident for all to see. Those that accept and make excuses for this disgusting behaviour and refused to listen to reason for years... It is their blind, no malicious, support that allows this to happen.

As you are essentially abandoning the game you guys should at least give more power to the modders and allow them to do more with continuing the development of the game because alot of us wanted more for this game not for it to be abandoned had huge potential that is now wasted such a sad time.

Keen is leaving M.E. not M.E. is leaving Early Access.
This is misleading Information and potential new players should be able to clearly see:

If you want to cash 9$ on this game, give out at the very least a modkit with source code to the modders who kept your buggy mess alive while you were not doing anything for 1 year.
