Could you be a bit more specific- what kind of computer are you using, which Operating System, graphics card, and what happens when you try to run the game in Fullscreen mode?

i could not run it in full screen mode that was not even an idea because the game just wont do it

my computer is well above spec for this game

i am running an intel i7 8700k and a gtx 1080 ti with windows 10 pro 64bit

the game will not run in full screen at all

Windows 10...why am I not surprised?
Being "well above spec" for a game means nothing, quite the contrary- at times that can be the problem! Older games may sometimes have trouble playing nice with newer hardware and Operating Systems.

There is a game for sale here at Steam called "Foxtail." If you check the specifications they are based on my 2001 XP Sony VAIO as it is the oldest physical device known to run the game. It does so nicely, as does the 2002 XP Dell with its somewhat superior hardware and the 2012 Windows 8 ASUS. But there are people with much stronger systems who cannot get the game to run!

When you say "just won't do it" do you mean the option is "greyed out" and not available, or that it crashes when you try?

Here's a trick you can try: find the game's EXE file, right-click it, and under "Compatibility" try running it as "Windows 7." That does sometimes work.

doesnt matter what compatibility mode i use dude

re read this bit here to understand:

Steam BJ3 works and looks like ♥♥♥♥

Origin (ea) BJ3 does work perfectly and looks awesome

its literally because i used steam instead of origin for BJ3 and if i play the Origin version it works perfectly fine

its something to do with steam but you have a few mental cogs loose and the information i give does not register

If the Steam version does not work then whatever the problem is still exists.

Again, being "well above specs" means nothing- in fact, it can cause problems with older games that don't like newer hardware.

Steam "Bejeweled 3" does NOT need the Steam app to work. You can copy the folder and play the game on a computer without Steam, even on the 2001 Sony VAIO it works and works well. Technically it is a standalone game then.

"Bejeweled 2/Twist/1" all need the Steam app so I cannot test them yet on those two antiques.

Therefore "Bejeweled 3" is different from the others.

You have four hearts in your reply. I assume you do not mean "beautifully."

Your problem is that you don't get what I'm saying: you still have the Steam problem. I don't care if you get "Bejeweled 3" or any game running with EA Origin, a pirated version, a homebrew, or magic, there is still a problem or you wouldn't care enough to post here. I am trying to figure out why the Steam version doesn't work 100% on your computer but does on all three of mine without any trouble at all. That includes Fullscreen. The ASUS handles all of them 100%. Why the ASUS and not your computer? What is the difference that is causing your trouble?

OBVIOUSLY, if you run the Origin version nicely, there is a problem with the Steam version. Obviously. So how does that help anyone else? I'm trying to figure out what that difference is. Once that is figured out then anyone else with this problem who does not want to deal with EA or cannot can be helped. That is what these forums are for.

In short, why do I not have ANY problem with these games on the ASUS, and none with "Bejeweled 3" on ancient Sony and Dell, but you do? I too am using the Steam versions after all. Why is Steam not giving ME any problems?

THAT is what I'm trying to figure out.

And why are we talking about "Bejeweled 3" in the "Bejeweled 2" forum?

no OP was about BJ2 not going fullscreen and thats fixed (you would know if you did not skim my comments)

you dont read through my comments properly because if you did you would know i resolved every issue i had with every BJ game

maybe re read every comment properly and understand that upgrading fixes problems while not upgrading adds problems and limit growth

so what you mean to communicate by quoting this

so far its like you dont understand basic communication skills and lack the mental capacity to utter your own words
