A new update is now available — it brings a series of technical and gameplay improvements, and sets the stage for a major upcoming update.

Here's what's been added:

🎥 Camera Angle and FOV
When adjusted, the camera angle and field of view (FOV) are displayed in the interface. You can also set default values for both parameters in the settings.

💨 Propwash Effect
A basic simulation of the propwash effect has been added — flights now feel a bit more realistic.

🎯 Improved Hit Registration System
The accuracy of hit detection on vehicles and objects has been significantly improved.

💥 Shaped Charge Jet Mechanics
Vehicle damage now depends on the direction of the explosion. The damage may be significantly reduced if the shaped charge is not aimed directly at the target. Choosing the right attack angle is key to maximizing damage.

🛠️ Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
Many issues have been fixed to improve game stability.

🔧 What's Next?
I’m already working on a major update that will introduce electronic warfare (EW) systems and dynamic vehicle armor (grill cages). It's coming soon — stay tuned!

A brand new training map has been added to replace the old draft level.

The LODs (Level of Detail) for trees have been updated — the forest should now look significantly better.

Hit registration has been enhanced, especially at high drone speeds.

Minor improvements and fixes in the Ukrainian version of the game.

🎮 PS5 DualSense Preset
Players using the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller can now quickly start playing with a ready-made control preset.

A new update is now live! Thank you all for your activity and bug reports — here’s what this update brings:

🎮 Experimental support for TBS and DJI FPV controllers
This is the first step toward supporting TBS and DJI FPV controllers. The functionality is currently in testing. If you're using these controllers, please share your experience in the community.
❗️Note: DJI RC, DJI RC-N1 (N2, N3) are not supported yet — only DJI FPV for now.

⚙️ Dead zones for sticks
You can now configure stick dead zones to avoid accidental drone movement caused by slight deviations in the stick position.

🐞 Controller bug fixes
Fixed an issue where, with a factory control profile selected, menu button animations would appear when pressing a button on a connected controller, but the input itself wouldn’t register. If you’re still experiencing this issue, please report it in the community and include your controller model.

🏭 "Factory" map
Fixed issues with radio interference not functioning properly on this map.

🎯 Weak points and hit registration
Improved hit detection on vehicle weak points, especially at high drone speeds. Hits should now register more reliably.

❗️If you're having issues with the new version, please report them and switch to the previous stable version. In Steam, right-click the game in your Library → "Properties" → "Betas" → choose "previous_version". To return to the latest version, select "None".

The new version of Remote Reaper is now available — thank you for your activity and feedback. Here’s what’s been added in this update:

🎮 Control Profile System

You can now create multiple custom control profiles and easily switch between them. In addition, a ready-made profile for the Xbox One controller has been added. In the future, this system will allow the creation of more pre-configured control profiles.

🧭 Automatic Controller Calibration

A new feature that allows you to quickly set up your controller before your first flight. Just open the controller settings, press the automatic calibration button, and follow the on-screen instructions. This feature will be improved in future updates — if you encounter any issues, please report them in the Steam community.

🐞 Bug Fixes

Many of the bugs you reported have been fixed. Thank you for helping to improve the game!

A special testing branch, which contains the previous stable version, has been added to the game. If you experience issues with the new version, please report them and temporarily switch to the previous version. To do this, right-click the game in your Steam Library, choose "Properties," then go to the "Betas" tab, and select "previous_version" from the list. To return to the latest version, simply select "None."

The first week since the game’s release has passed — time to share a quick update on what I’ve been working on:

Greetings, pilots! Today, I’ll tell you about one of the game’s key mechanics — the system of vehicle weak points. In Remote Reaper: FPV Drone, every target has its vulnerabilities.

🔹 Armor and Weak Zones
Military vehicles are not destroyed with a single hit — they are protected by armor. However, each machine has weak points: lightly armored areas, fuel tanks, joints, or external equipment. Hitting these spots deals critical damage, allowing you to destroy a target with minimal effort.

🔹 Planning
Before attacking, a pilot should study the target’s structure on the training map and determine the right attack angle. Random hits on armor can lead to wasted ammunition and lost drones, whereas a precise shot to a weak point eliminates the target instantly.

🔹 What’s Next?
In the future, I plan to add protective structures, such as mesh screens, which are often used in real life to defend against FPV drones. You’ll need to bypass this protection just like the target’s armor.

This mechanic makes each battle more dynamic and realistic, bringing gameplay closer to real-world FPV drone tactics.

Today, I’ll tell you about a key gameplay mechanic — drone control. Unlike other simulators, this game offers not only standard controls but also a simplified option that doesn’t require piloting skills or a controller.

🔹 Standard Controller Controls
Remote Reaper: FPV Drone was initially developed with controller support to provide a realistic drone piloting experience.

🔸Did you find it inconvenient to reach for the keyboard every time to respawn? I listened to your feedback and added a controller switch respawn feature. Now, if your drone gets shot down, you can instantly respawn it by simply flipping a switch.

🔹 Simplified Keyboard and Mouse Controls
Not everyone has a controller or knows how to fly, so I also implemented an alternative keyboard and mouse control scheme. It’s intuitive and beginner-friendly. The keys control horizontal movement, while the camera and rotation are managed with the mouse. The spacebar allows you to gain altitude, and the Shift key boosts your drone’s speed.

With these two control options, every player can choose the most comfortable way to pilot and enjoy the game.
