How's living in Delusion District?
Lost World isn't a popular title that people want. Silver isn't one of the most popular characters. I can easily see Blaze getting the top spot before Silver ever does and it sure as hell won't be in Lost World, of all games.
As for Lost World, it would be another easy "remaster" to bundle with a Silver side game and the gameplay of Lost World is weird enough that it could support a different Silver gameplay style game.
Also, Lost World would be an easy remaster nobody wants. Sega may be stupid, but it's not that stupid.
Oh, and putting Shadow on Steam would require porting it since it never had a PC version and who in their right mind would greenlight that? I can imagine, around TEN 80+on-metacritic mainline games from now, when the franchise's reputation will be fully repaired, I can imagine THEN Sega deciding to go back and remaster (and try to fix up) some of the flawed mainline entries such as Shadow or '06 or Unleashed. Or Lost World, lol, though I can't imagine how one could fix this garbage heap. But now? Eh. Nah.
Honestly, I think the next release will be either a Frontiers sequel or a neoclassic title. And then it's the Adventure remakes people were pestering them for years about. Adventure titles, though their reputation has sunk somewhat, are still nowhere near as maligned as Shadow, '06 or Unleashed.
While werehog is the worse part of the game I won't argue that it is easily fixed for a couple examples simply adjusting enemy health or sonic's damage can make the levels feel like less of a tedious drag and improve the pacing between combat and platforming and they could get rid of the combat music so people can actually hear the proper soundtrack for the werehog levels.
Otherwise Unleashed has peak level design and difficulty as well as peak graphics or art style with a meaningful story that is like a Saturday morning cartoon without being stupid and written for 8 year olds like Colors and Lost World.
I am not. The reviewers at the time, however, definitely did put it in the same tier. Cue the Metacritic score. Me? I love Unleashed.
Ah yes, my baffling disdain that exists entirely within the confines of your head. Also... no, it doesn't give any clarity. Unleashed is a great, if somewhat flawed game. Lost World is the only Sonic game I actively hate.
Werehog did nothing wrong. All they need to do to "fix" him is to replace the combat music (either having dedicated combat music tracks for each stage or having boppier nighttime level themes that would fit both combat and platforming scenarios) and lower/eliminate Sun and Moon medal requirements, just making the stage progression linear and instead tying Sun and Moon medals to some extra unlockables like skins or some such bull. Oh, and eliminating lives and rebalancing the grade requirements. It sucks to die at the last checkpoint after a perfect run on a 30 minute stage and getting an E because all of your points are gone. Just have a points penalty for dying and that's it. But that's all small potatoes. Overall Unleashed is one of the best 3D entries in the series. Idk if I would put it on par or slightly below Shadow Generations (which is peak BTW).
i would sell my kidney for a new Blaze game
