Breakdown lvl4 the sniper
so I'm ready to move on to breakdown lvl5 and i have every task for all levels completed save for the sniper. Trying to platinum the game, as long as lvl5 isnt much worse than lvl4 that seems quite doable (havent done much in lifeline mode yet tho). I watched the video of cheesing the sniper on the roof of the gas station next to the truck warehouse home site but I'm already settled and have outposts there. I can get a lot of zombies here but the watchtower is attacking them and I'm thinking this might be more doable on breakdown lvl5 before moving into the trucking warehouse (+ prob more Z's on lvl5).

is there anything about this achievement that makes it much harder to do on lvl5 before i roll on?

eh nm figured it out using the gas station NW map near post office seeming to be same layout as the one near the truck warehouse. make noise on the top roof and do your sniper magic on the lower tier.
for future reference, if you want to see what you're up against before moving on, there's a wiki page that outlines the challenges ahead... https://stateofdecay.fandom.com/wiki/Breakdown#Difficulty_multiplier
nice thanks. doesnt seem like lvl5 will be much worse than lvl4
no you want to see insanity, look at 65-69. :-) no idea how people can get that far, but it'd takes months to get there much less 99, and that's even cheesing by backing up your saves so you don't lose your choice maxxed-out team... starting over with fresh newbies and one hero past 25th I can't imagine, but I guess some need that level of challenge. (or heavily mod) one day I'll hit 50. but not today!
just care about finishing the quests and getting to 6 then onto lifeliine.
ahhh an achievement hunter, you caught that completionitis disease. my condolences if you have to get them, and aren't enjoying it... but yeah you don't have to go past 6 for any.

though it is a bit dismal, did you notice how low the percentages are even for easy ones? it seems ~95% of Steam YOSE owners do not even play it, not at all. kinda makes me sad, as I find it fairly original and unique approach to the zombie genre. oh well, can't make people like things the don't like. :zedrawr:

I sometimes really wish you could go dark, and wipe out your own settlement. I mean past BD 10 for me it's goofy, not just hard but stupid hard, make too much noise doing a fast search, a juggernaut and bloater show up inside the house, you basically dive through a window or die. ferals camping you constantly, when you get out of a vehicle, when you turn a corner, you can learn to predict it a little (and sometimes you get a split-second dot notification), but after losing 2 maxxed heroes in a row in 15 minutes, I know the solution to zombie survival everyone, get in the RV! tick tick <BOOM!> or just do it the old-fashioned teamkill way, :bloodsplatter: shoot em all. :bloodsplatter:

i think when a game adds DLC and new ach's a lot of people dont go back and hit the new ones they're already moved on to the next game. wow that sounds crazy re: insta Juggers/ferals. almost want to see it myself but idk if i want to put in the time to get past 6.
Completely off topic, but how did you get the gardener unlocked? ive been trying for a week IRL and the number wont tick up, any suggestions or tips you could give?
it just kinda ran itself. did it on BD1 or 2 when tthings were easier. is your progress 0/10? I think it takes day/night cycles to be played not just ticks when you're offline like research and buildings. i did it at the same time i worked on the 'build all buildings' and 'research all research' things since ii knew id have to be at that BD level for a while.

this is because Year one is just a paid patch for state of decay standard.

i havent put much time into year one, as i played it a decent amount on 360, decent amount on the OG on steam, and year one was just.....a patch fix...........

so really no reason to put a lot of time into it because there isnt any real content added to the game.
