How to mature the brawler?

This is just a simple question... The brawler don't have a weapon slot on its inventory and the item Fragile Balance goes in the "weapon" slot, but the brawler doesn't have it, so how do i make it mature into a monk?

If it´s just a bug, I suggest make fragile balance an armor, then the brawler could use it.

If it´s not a bug, then please developer explain what we should do.
