amazing game

This game sat neglected in my Library for far too long. I play mostly RPGs, 4x, colony builders, city builders.
Most of my Steam time is clocked is in Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld, and x4 Foundations, with the most time ever spent in Ascii Dwarf Fortress (pre-and post-Steam).

This game is RIGHT up there with those games and doesn't get enough credit for how great it is. The tower-defense mechanic mixed with the usual Colony-Builder with soothing pixel-art is fantastic. Anyone that laments lack of OSX support for Dwarf Fortress should DEFINITELY scratch that itch with Rise to Ruins.

A superb cross between a city builder, tower defense game and god game with a high difficulty curve that truly emphasizes understanding the game mechanics to succeed. The only downside is that the developer rarely updates, although for the low price point the game is more than worth it.
