About the developers
Hey, everyone.

Where've been a lot of questions regarding the development team, who makes CaesarIA, etc, but the thing is - there's only one developer. I'm not a professional game developer and do this in my free time. Sometimes other programmers join me to realize some parts of the code which they find interesting.

A little bit of history. Starting from 2007 I'm a fan of the original Caesar III modding. I've been studying its mechanics and algorythms. In 2008 I've started to dig deeper into the game's inside parts by engineering analysis of the executable file and since then I've spent more than 3 years restoring its logic. In 2011 restoration of game logic was transferred to CaesarIA project and in 2012 CaesarIA was combined with another open source project - openCaesar3 by Bianca van Schaik from "heavengames" website, who has been doing the same analysis in parallel with me. With mutual help, a working city model was born along with a renderen and original files parser. In 2014 with help of "IndieGoGo" campaign it was possible to accumulate some financial help which went to remastering of core game objects, and after that the game was sent to Steam Greenlight.

I'm not going to beg for likes or positive reviews, and I'm not going to defend myself - current versino of the game is what it is. Bugs will be fixed, needed textures will be added. The development continues.

Don't forget old games if you blow dust from them, refresh them and patch em - you will see that sometime they are way more interesting and deep than many modern ones.

A special 'Thank You' goes to Max Mironchik (Sulaco) who convinced me this all was possible and still helps me with his enthusiasm, advice and actual help.

The list of everyone who ever helped building CaesarIA is available inside the game and you can see it from the main menu. Thank you all, guy, without you I couldn't have done it.

Ave Caesar!

Please don't mind the previous "person". I (and it seems a lot of others) are very grateful to you for undertaking this project. I have been tryng to find a way to replay/get a Legal copy of Caesar III for a long time now. I don't happen to trust sites that offer "hacked" versions of games due to past experiences. I don't have a lot of time to play but will try to explore a little more every day. The new textures for buildings that have been completed are great and I look forward to seeing more realistic buildings as they get completed. I also compliment you on the features you have added and will add that were not previously included in the original game. For example; I had always felt that roadblocks were a necessity and yet they didn't exist before. Thank you again for working to recreate this timeless Classic.

This is awesome, cause now i don't have to run a VM as i was planning to do just recently before i heard of this project. I really hope you can do more with this project. i've always hated how there was a housing cap. I had a perfect system down for this that i had 65000 population and upgrading houses all over the place but i had to build more houses and i couldn't. i'm very excited for this. thanks again.

Hi, in my opinion you need to getting help by someone because there are a lot of bug and there isn't the language italian that help someone (not me) to assist you in your great job.
After all continue such possible you can because you can do anything with your capabilities.

OMG this is fantastic! I was literally about to shut down my PC and head to bed when I accidentally clicked on the "learn more" link on another early access game, spotted the game name and thought "huh... that looks similar to Caesar" and lo and behold all my dreams come true :P I played this game for HOURS when I was younger and have tried everything to get a working copy for a long time now but nothing works like the old original. Thank you so much for putting your time into this project, ignore the haters, early access is for games in dev, bugs are to be expected. Keep up the good work!

I discovered Caeser III, Zeus and Cleopatra through GOG and realy enjoy playing them. All cheap and all work on Windows 7.

I'll keep my eye on this, I'm interested to see what he does with it and what this version offers that id different.

thanks a lot for working on that :-D same spirit, better graphic and my computer still can run it !! ( my PC suck -_-) take your time, make it good I LIKE IT !!! :-D
I cant even begin to express how ANGRY I'am that you took a game, a classic from my childhood, the only thing this game requireed was a grahics update, you can never resell this and Im going to make sure the creators are aware this is on green light! Not to mention you put 2 original maps in the game( they are removed now however ) and your using music from youtube, some advice before you start attempting a feat like this you might want to research the legalities 1st!
