KNOWN ISSUE: Bonus Prologue interruption / Java Error - Workaround
Hi folks

On some circumstances you can run into an unknown error regarding your javaw.exe.
To workaround this issues please copy all your java*.exe files from C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin into the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath

If the paths don't exists, you have to create them first. Please not the the C:\ProgramData folder is a hidden folder from your windows system.

This should solve the problem at the moment.
We are still investigating and will integrate a fix in an upcoming patch.

Linux build issues:
- extremly fast movement animation
- stuck - cannot take spoon from the plate with the green soup on the table
it wasn't quite clear that it was required to press the space bar

Issues with Java have not been resolved.. Very bad.

Also there is a typo in Russian localization. At the end of the game (before the final cutscene) in the sentence there is the word "пеперь". Right - "теперь".

Just purchased this game, main game is artifacting pretty horribly and the prolgue will not load even after followiong directions on this thread.
Not Resolved.

Looks like you can download the Prologue directly from Krams design webpage here; http://www.kramsdesign.com/games/annas-quest-prologue/

I assume Daedelic bought the rights from them or some such.

More than half a year later the prologue still won't run without this workaround (haven't tried applying it yet).

So? How's the investigation going?
The prologue still doesn't work...
and this workaround doesn't work either - it's nothing a user should have to do for a simple movie.

I can't play at all. I run the play and it falls just after the first DAEDALIC credit.
I've tried the explained solution up here, but it doesn't work!

- Installed latest Java from oracle.com
- Rebooted

WORKS.

The reason for that: Java needs a system variable called PATH to include its own directory, so the Java files can be found. This is applied after a reboot only.

If it doesn't run, type in "environment variables" into the start menu (on Windows 10) and go to the system variables. In my case, PATH is set to a lot of directories, including:

C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath

This is the important one. If it's not there, add it and reboot.
