The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022)

Every time I try to start the game a window pops up saying I need DirectPlay to play DFBHD but after I get past that this error appears and I can't start the game. Is there a way to fix this?

From what I have read this will work for Windows 8, 8.1 and 10.

Open Control Panel

Click on Programs and Features.

Upper Left click "Turn Windows Features On or Off".

When the list populates find Legacy Components, you might have to scroll down.

Click the tiny PLUS to the left of Legacy Components.

There is Direct Play item in there and make sure it is CHECKED. Click OK.

Windows will have to configure itself and follow the directions. I dont have the directions, like rebooting or such, because Direct Play was already checked in my clean install of Win 10 and it was checked by defualt.

Hey cboath11 .. + rep .. you are a **Superstar** works for Land warrior as well, both games wouldnt start for me in Win 10 and now do after your fix.. thanks again. have a medal

Mine worked great had problems with Steam when I reinstalled SteamBHD would not download and when I reinstalled Steam BHD was deleted....After almost 2 weeks of back and forth with Steam Support THEY SENT ME HERE...
STILL UNABLE TO PLAY BHD....If I would have known what a problem having to play through steam ....I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED ....I WANT TO HAVE A DOWNLOAD I CAN INSTALL ON MY COMPUTER....NEVERF HAD A PROBLEM BEFORE
