Will East Trade Tycoon still get updates?

I’d love to keep updating it, but as my first Unity cross-platform project the underlying code isn’t the cleanest, so every patch is a bit of a battle and risks introducing new bugs. I still tinker with it when I can, and I’ll let everyone know if a significant update is on the way.

1. Optimized hotkey settings: Spacebar now toggles game start/pause even in non-world map interfaces, + - key adjusts speed, and Esc returns to the previous level. To avoid conflicts with the spacebar, the shortcut for skipping dialogues and reminders has been changed to only the Enter key. You can view the specific hotkeys in the game settings.（Custom hotkeys will be available in the future.）
2. Added an option in the game settings to toggle repetitive strategy reminders.
3. Optimized the code logic for moving between cities, reducing unexpected pauses.
4. Fixed a bug where game time continued during a robbers encounter.
5. Added a setting to prevent characters with a marriage contract from being expelled or retired, to avoid data conflicts.

Announcement about the upcoming end of free access for East Trade Tycoon

Hello everyone, this is PandaUpStudio, the developer of "East Trade Tycoon: Inheritance". After being released for free for a while, the game has attracted a large number of players' attention and love. Thank you very much to all the players who have played this game!

For the healthy development of the studio, I will apply to Steam customer service to change the game from free to paid in 7 days (the application may take several working days), mainly to support the subsequent development and updates of the game. All players who have already added this game to their libraries will not be affected in any way and can continue to play the game normally as well as receive normal update support for the game itself.

1. Attempted to fix the bug where the game screen would infinitely shift as soon as the game is opened. (If players still encounter this problem, please give me feedback again.)
2. Optimized the scrolling speed of all scrolling windows.
3. Goods obtained by defeating robbers will not cause the caravan to be overloaded. Excess goods will be automatically sold on the spot and converted into money.
4. Fixed the bug where when loading a save, if the character is in an edge city (such as Huanglong), they will be forcibly refreshed to the base.
5. For automatic saves, added options to save once every three months and once every six months.
6. Fixed the problem of the reversed trigger sequence of achievements regarding firm control quotas.

2. Resolved the overflow issue when transferring ownership if assets exceed 2.1 billion, which only displayed as 2.1 billion.
3. Added a slider to the caravan item interface to indicate that items can be scrolled for viewing.
4. Introduced a random name generator for creating business names on Steam Deck, allowing players to continue the game.
5. Fixed incorrect display and calculation of copper coin costs when resting for a specified number of days at the inn.
6. Resolved crashes that could occur in certain situations when merging items.
7. Fixed the issue where newly purchased vehicles could be priced higher than the purchase price in some cases.
