For some reason, the main pistol you start with does not fire whenever you click to fire, but on other weapons like the wookie rifle, it has no problem firing, and holding to charge also seems to work on most weapons, but not the one you start with, any idea what causes this? I'm using OpenJKDF2 btw, hasn't happened before but now idk why it does that, secondary fire doesn't work either...

I think like for it's era it's got some silly and wacky design like, this is only a year before half life and it's got some wack aesthetics that I'm so down for. Really thing this game is worth playing not just because it's neato, but to have an appreciation for the experimentality of the artistans at the time trying to make something up against the hardware limitations. great stuff. Nowadays a 2025 game get a 150gb download for something that looks basically about as good as the Witcher 3...
